This discussion took place at the Digital R&D in the Arts Forum in Manchester Town Hall in February 2013. In this podcast, the panel looks at interactive media. The panel reflects on the potential for digital and interactive media to deepen the relationship between arts organisations and audiences, and assess how much of this potential is currently being realised. Drawing on the experience of the commercial creative industries, what can arts organisations do to push out the boundaries in this area? The Digital R&D Fund for the Arts is a £7 million fund for organisations with arts projects based in England working in collaboration with technology providers and researchers. The fund supports new digital research and development projects that aim to expand audience research and/or develop new business models.
