NEW publication Arts Award in Artsmark schools
Arts Award and Artsmark work together to demonstrate a secondary school's commitment to arts education and student achievement in the arts. Many schools now use Arts Award to put into practice their Artsmark status. Three Gold Artsmark schools - Latimer Arts College, Saint George's School and South Wirral High School - are all successfully delivering Arts Award. Download the PDF to read more about how they link Arts Award to their Artsmark status.
Arts Award is a national qualification which recognises how young people develop as artists and arts leaders. The award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork. Young people aged 11-25 can achieve awards that are recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority on the National Qualifications Framework at levels 1, 2 and 3. The award is run through a partnership between Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall.
