Q: Was this debate about the arts or the Arts Council?
A: It was about both. The inquiry took a broad view of the arts and sought to understand how people experience and value a wide range of arts activities, including those that are not funded by the Arts Council. However, this was to better understand our role in the wider arts ecology and to help us explore possibilities beyond our current activities.
