Catherine Bunting has been Director of Research at the Arts Council since May 2005. She leads a team of researchers to explore the changing role of the arts in our national life and to inform the organisation's future direction. Prior to joining the Arts Council, Catherine established the research department at Arts & Business and developed a programme of work to explore the relationship between the arts and the private sector. She has a Master's in Applied Statistics and began her career as a statistician in a software development company.
