art07 is in two parts this year, the art07 summer event took place at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal on 8 June and the
art07 awards party will be taking place on 17 October in Manchester.
art07 summer programme
The day started with the opening of the
exchange arena in the Malt Room and Terraced Garden and the
briefings in the Cinema 2. A wide variety of organisations gathered for the networking and promotional opportunities in the exchange and the briefings were really well attended with the excellent Grants for the Arts seminar being the hit of the day.
The afternoon saw the
art07 debate in association with Radio 3 Night Waves being held in the Theatre.
Throughout the day
Glo-Bal dance performances were occuring in and around the Brewery Arts Centre and locations around Kendal town centre, an
Art Strike also took place, with pickets, banners and a megaphone the essential item of the day.
It was a lovely evening for the
art07 summer party in the Brewery Garden, with music and dancing and the announcement of the award finalists by Tom Bloxham OBE.
