Breaking News

art06 - the third annual spotlight on the arts - came to an exciting climax in Preston last week.

Arts Council England, North West announced the two winners of its prestigious awards - More Music in Morecambe and Manchester's Company Fierce.

The awards were presented to the winners by leading playwright David Edgar, in front of a packed audience, each receiving £10,000 as their prize. It was More Music in Morecambe who hit the right note with the panel of judges as they battled it out in the Arts and Communities category. The other brand new category introduced as part of art06 was Children and Young People, which saw Company Fierce roar to victory. Find out more on the award finalists pages.
